Lutron, Rako and KNX lighting systems designed, installed and programmed by certified engineers. Architectural scene control, circadian tuning and motorised shading across Berkshire, Thames Valley and London.
Lighting defines how every room feels. Done properly, it transforms a home more than almost any other single element — and it’s the thing our clients comment on most after handover. We design, supply, install and program architectural lighting control systems from Lutron, Rako and KNX, in close collaboration with your lighting designer, architect or interior designer.
Every scene is hand-programmed around how the room is actually used: a ‘morning’ scene that brings up cool, energising light in the kitchen; a ‘dinner’ scene that dims to a warm, intimate level; a ‘watching TV’ scene that drops pendants and brings up low-level wall washing. Add daylight sensors, motorised blinds, electric curtains and rooflight shading and the house responds to the time of day automatically.
We are Lutron Registered Dealers, Rako Authorised Installers and KNX Certified Partners, with in-house ETS programming capability. That matters: architectural lighting is only ever as good as the person programming the keypads.
The things clients ask us most often before we start a project.
Both are excellent. Lutron HomeWorks QSX is the global premium choice — beautiful hardware, flawless dimming, extensive integration. Rako is British, very cost-effective, and particularly strong for retrofits using wireless modules. For new builds and large projects we usually recommend Lutron or KNX; for many retrofits Rako wins on install disruption and price.
Yes — Rako wireless and some Lutron systems are specifically designed for retrofit. We can also do partial installs (e.g. ground floor first) and extend later. On a renovation we’ll always recommend pulling new cable where access allows, for longer-term reliability.
It’s lighting that shifts colour temperature through the day — cool and energising in the morning, warm and relaxing in the evening. It mimics natural daylight, supports healthy sleep patterns and genuinely feels different in the home. We program it into the system so it happens automatically.
Yes — motorised shading is a core part of our lighting work. We install Silent Gliss, Lutron Sivoia QS, Somfy and similar systems, fully integrated into the lighting scenes so blinds and lights move together.
Most of our larger projects are designed by independent lighting designers — we engineer and install what they specify. We also have strong in-house lighting design capability for projects without a separate designer.
